The Binghamton Junior Senators swept the Skylands Kings on the road in a 3-game set. Eric Melso snagged his 100th point of the season and Seth McArdle led the way with 7 points during the weekend.
Binghamton 7 @ Skylands 3 – The Senators strengthened their hold on the Northeast Division with a 7-3 win over Skylands on Friday. Markus Cook scored twice, Mike Padgeon, Seth McArdle, Devin Hamm, Caden Dearborn and Eric Melso each scored once and Thomas Sullivan stopped 33 of 36 shots for Binghamton. The Kings received two goals from Trevor Christopher, as well as a single strike from Dylan Saccone and 53 saves from Josh Sears in net.
Binghamton 6 @ Skylands 1 – Six different skaters fueled a stout offensive showing for Binghamton as the Senators toppled the Kings 6-1 on the road. Kieran Horton, Seth McArdle, Mike Padgeon, Markus Cook, Greg Simmons and Rory Gresham each lit the lamp in front of an impressive 43 saves by Jeff Zero. For Skylands, Jake Cicalese tallied the only goal as Kavan Johnson faced a busy night in goal with 57 saves of his own.
Binghamton 5 @ Skylands 3 – The Senators broke open a 2-2 deadlock with a three-goal third period as they took down the Kings 5-3. Dinmukhamed Dzhangarashev bagged a hat-trick and Thomas Liebold struck twice to pace the Binghamton attack, while Trevor Christopher netted a pair and James Clark scored once for Skylands. Thomas Sullivan stopped 37 of 40 for the win, while Kavan Johnson faced down 57 shots for the Kings.
The Junior Senators have 2 games left in the regular season. They will face off this upcoming weekend against the Niagara Falls Powerhawks at home: Saturday night at 8pm and Sunday at noon. Both games will be at the Ice House Sports Complex in Binghamton. We hope to see you there!
