The Bay State Bobcats are happy to announce that Defenseman Michael Nicholas has committed to play ACHA Division 1 Ice Hockey for William Paterson University for the 2021-2022 season.
The West Milford, NJ native dressed for 11 games and saw some big minutes in those 11 games. A stay-at-home defenseman with a long stick will be a welcome addition to the 9-time National Tournament Qualifier and 6-time Super East Champion.
“Michael is an all around great young man. He battled through a lot of adversity due to an injury most of the season. But in the games he did dress, he played well and saw some big minutes on the D-end. I know he has a great home with William Paterson and he will be a great addition to their strong Division 1 program. I wish him nothing but the best, and will miss him in the Navy and Gold next season,” Assistant Coach Trevor Simonson was quoted saying.
The entire club would like to congratulate Michael and his Family on the accomplishment. Good luck to the Pioneers this upcoming season!
