Mike Padgeon (1 goal, 2 assists) led the way for the Binghamton Junior Senators with 3 points in a 7-4 win over the Skylands Kings, Friday night.
Casey Boone came up big, stopping 30 of 32 shots throughout the game. The Binghamton Junior Senators took the lead late in the second on a goal from Dinmukhamed Dzhangarashev. Thomas Liebold had no trouble finding the scoresheet, as well, adding 2 goals.
During the first period, Liebold opened the scoring for Binghamton with a goal at 1:17. Saccone answered for the Kings with a goal at 4:17 with helpers from Ford and Yakovlev.
In the second, Bell answered for the Junior Senators with a goal at 10:22 with helpers from his linemates, Simmons and Cook. Boffa put in a goal at 13:08 with assists from Cook and Bell. Cook quickly followed with a goal at 13:14 with an assist from his teammate Simmons. Dzhangarashev scored what turned out to be the game winning goal at 18:15 with helpers from Melso and Padgeon. Saccone quickly followed with a goal at 18:36 with assists from Cicalese and Hiler.
During the third, Padgeon answered for the Junior Senators with a goal at 0:38 with helpers from Melso and Dzhangarashev. Liebold quickly followed with a goal at 1:26 with assists from his linemates, Padgeon and Melso. Christopher quickly followed with a goal at 2:19 with a helper from Cicalese. Hibbert put in a goal at 18:26 with assists from Dinzik and Cicalese.
Binghamton’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Boone’s big night as he stopped 30 of the 32 shots he faced. Boone’s counterpart, Sears, also had a big night, managing to stop 65 of 72, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Binghamton Junior Senators’ record to (5-0-0-0).
